How this nps calculator works
Monthly contributions grow using the selected return assumption. The projected corpus is split by the chosen annuity share, and gross monthly pension equals annuity corpus × annuity rate ÷ 12.
Worked example
A ₹10,000 monthly contribution over 25 years at an assumed 10% return produces an illustrative corpus, of which 40% can be modeled as annuity at a selected gross rate.
Assumptions
- Contributions are made monthly at the start of each month.
- Returns remain constant only for calculation.
- The selected annuity share and rate are user assumptions.
- Pension shown is gross and before tax.
Limitations
- NPS returns are market-linked and not guaranteed.
- Exit rules, minimum annuity requirements and taxes can change.
- Actual annuity quotes vary by provider, option, age and prevailing rates.
