How this discount calculator works

Percentage saving = original price x discount rate. Final price = original price - percentage saving - extra flat off, limited to zero.

Worked example

If a product priced at ?4,999 has 30% off, the saving is about ?1,500 and final price is about ?3,499 before taxes, delivery fees or payment offers.

Assumptions

  • The percentage discount applies to the original price.
  • Extra flat off is applied after the percentage saving.
  • The final price cannot go below zero.
  • Taxes, shipping and card offers are not included unless entered in the price.
